Pistols and revolvers are short-barrel guns. They are a popular choice because they take up very little space, are easy to transport, and fit comfortably inside a pistol case.
Long guns — such as submachine guns (SMGs), assault rifles, machine guns, and sniper rifles — offer better ballistic performance due to their longer barrels, allowing them to shoot further, more accurately, and with greater power.

Airsoft Gun Operating Principles
Airsoft guns operate on three main principles: spring-powered, gas-powered, and electric.
Spring-Powered Airsoft
This is the simplest mechanical design. The gun must be cocked before every single shot; when fired, the spring pushes a piston, which forces air out to launch the BB. These are the most affordable airsoft guns, yet they are highly reliable, work in any weather conditions, and require no gas or batteries. All you need is the gun and some BBs. They cock just like real firearms — by racking the slide on pistols or pulling the charging handle on rifles. We highly recommend these models as a first airsoft gun, or when buying a replica purely for its appearance (for a collection, themed parties, or training). Spring-powered airsoft sniper rifles are also among the most powerful guns available.
Gas-Powered Airsoft
These are the most realistic airsoft guns on the market, especially those featuring a moving slide (blowback action).
They can run on either green gas (refilled from various-sized canisters by injecting gas directly into the magazine) or CO2 (using single-use capsules that are pierced when inserted into the magazine). Some models are dual-fuel and can accept both green gas and CO2 magazines. Gas rifles require the most maintenance; you need to regularly lubricate the valves and moving parts, replace seals when leaks occur, and keep in mind that they do not perform well in cold weather.
- Green gas advantages – more convenient refilling; you can top off the magazine even if it is only partially empty.
- CO2 advantages – higher pressure results in a slightly more powerful shot and much better tolerance to cold weather.
We suggest not overthinking the choice of gas type, as both have their own merits — simply pick the gun that you like best.
The main advantages of gas airsoft guns are high power and realistic operation. We particularly recommend gas pistols, as they are the most powerful pistol category. Cheaper models feature a fixed slide (non-blowback); they consume less gas and deliver a harder shot because no gas is wasted on cycling the slide.
Premium models feature a moving slide (gas blowback - GBB). GBB pistols are exceptionally realistic, operating just like real service weapons — you chamber a round before the first shot, they fire semi-automatically (and some even fully automatically), and the slide locks back when you run out of ammo. You do not need to rack it before every shot. They can be field-stripped just like real pistols, and there is a huge selection available. We highly recommend this specific design.
Electric Airsoft
Electric airsoft guns (airsoft electric guns - AEGs) are powered by rechargeable batteries. Electricity drives a motor, which runs a gearbox to pull back and release a spring, compressing air to launch the BB. This process happens several times per second, allowing these automatic rifles to fire in both semi-automatic and full-automatic bursts.
Electric assault rifles are by far the most popular type of long gun. On the other hand, electric pistols are the rarest type of pistol, because their compact size limits their power output. However, electric assault rifles easily punch through tin cans, operate reliably in any weather, are highly dependable, easy to use, and require virtually no maintenance.

They are categorized as sports equipment or collector models with unrestricted public circulation. You do not need permits or registration paperwork; the replicas can fire in full-auto mode and are completely legal to own. Simply order online or pick them up at our store!
While you can legally transport your airsoft equipment, do not brandish or display them openly in public places, as this can cause a public disturbance! There are no strict legal age restrictions for ownership, but we restrict sales to adults, and parents must oversee safe usage.
Please be aware that some retailers sell airsoft/airguns firing modified projectiles that exceed 2.5 Joules, which pushes them into restricted weapon categories despite being sold openly. We warn our customers that trading or possessing such over-powered items without proper authorization can carry serious legal liabilities.
