Description

From British infantry to Imperial Stormtroopers

The Sterling submachine gun is one of the most successful SMG designs of the 20th century. Created by George William Patchett at the Sterling Armaments Company and prototype-tested by the British Army in 1944-1945, it didn't enter service until 1953 — but once it did, it stayed standard issue for 41 years, finally retired in 1994 in favour of the L85A1.

It's also famous well beyond the military: real Sterling MK4s were stripped, modified and used as the base for the E-11 blaster rifle carried by every Imperial Stormtrooper in the original Star Wars trilogy.

This airsoft AEG reproduces the MK4 (L2A3) in black with a folding stock, steel & aluminium body, 110-round steel hi-cap, and a chrono around 365 FPS (~1.24 J).
