STEN MK2 Full Steel AEG - Iconic British WWII Submachine Gun
The STEN MK2 airsoft submachine gun faithfully recreates one of the most recognisable Allied weapons of the Second World War. Born of necessity after the Dunkirk evacuation, the original STEN was famously simple, rugged and fast to produce - a single worker could assemble a complete weapon in just a few hours. This airsoft replica captures that no-nonsense character with a full-steel build, side-mounted magazine well and the unmistakable tubular receiver of the 1940s era.
Full steel construction - heavy, authentic, durable
Like the original, the replica is built mainly from steel. Steel parts include the outer barrel, heat shield, receiver, magazine well, magazine, trigger guard and stock plates. Only the stock tube is aluminium. The result is a 2,650 g (2.65 kg) replica with the balance, weight and rattle of the real thing - exactly what re-enactors and WWII collectors expect.
V7 gearbox and 6.03 mm precision inner barrel
Inside sits a reinforced metal Version 7 (V7) gearbox with steel gears on 8 mm brass sliding bearings - a robust SMG-specific design. The 229 mm precision inner barrel uses a 6.03 mm tightbore for consistent grouping, and the adjustable hop-up can be tuned to your preferred BB weight. Muzzle velocity sits at approximately 350 FPS / 107 m/s with 0.20 g BBs, delivering about 1.14 J - well-suited for CQB and mid-range field use.
Full-auto only - historically correct
The real STEN fired only in full-auto, and so does this replica. The 40–50 round mid-cap steel magazine is included; it shares the same magwell pattern as MP40-type magazines, so spares are easy to source. The battery compartment is hidden inside the fixed stock and accessed via an Allen-key bolt - there is no external wiring or visible mock-up.
